We knew Kentucky jails were getting – and profiting off – a lot of ICE detainees, but we haven’t know where they were from. On Tuesday, we learned a little bit when three U.S. Representatives, from Kentucky, Illinois, and Wisconsin, demanded to see their constituents housed in the Campbell County jail. Here’s what we learned.
Also, there’s that story no one can get enough of: Mitch McConnell and Andy Beshear. The day after McConnell released a new photo of himself as proof of life, Beshear sent him a letter saying he needs to show he’s not just alive but capable of representing Kentuckians in the Senate.
And speaking of showing up, exactly no one was surprised when former Gov. Matt Bevin did not appear at the court hearing over child support for his adopted son, Jonah. Does avoiding that arrest warrant mean he’ll stay in Maine forever?

Kentucky’s lone Democratic congressman, U.S. Rep. Morgan McGarvey, joined two of his House colleagues to get a closer look at a Northern Kentucky jail holding federal immigration detainees Monday.

Kentucky Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear wrote in a Monday letter to Republican U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell and his staff that the senator should “provide proof of your capacity to serve, or resign.”

A hearing on whether former Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin and his ex-wife, Glenna, are required to support their estranged son, Jonah Bevin, got underway Tuesday without Matt Bevin.
